United States of America

The Shirdi Sai Parivaar Temple in Milpitas was burglarized on September 25, with intruders stealing the donation hundi and sacred jewelry, leaving the local Hindu community deeply distressed. This incident adds to a growing pattern of burglaries and vandalism targeting Hindu temples across the United States, prompting renewed calls for stronger protection.

Bangladesh

Hindu leaders in Bangladesh have demanded year-round protection for minorities after reports of temple vandalism in 13 districts ahead of Durga Puja. Since the Yunus-led interim government took power in August 2024, attacks on Hindu temples and communities have sharply increased, drawing widespread concern.

Members of the Bangladeshi diaspora protested outside the UN headquarters in New York, accusing Muhammad Yunus’s interim government of atrocities against minorities and transforming Bangladesh into a “Taliban-style” state. Protesters alleged that since Sheikh Hasina’s ouster on August 5, 2024, Hindus and other minorities have faced killings and mass displacement, demanding Yunus’s resignation and fresh elections.

Amid political unrest in Bangladesh, Hindu temples were vandalized in 11 districts during Navdurga celebrations, even as the National Puja Celebration Council assured that 33,355 Durga Pujas are proceeding nationwide under heightened security.

Atrocities against Hindu and Buddhist minorities in Bangladesh have intensified, with the army allegedly opening fire on protesters in Khagrachhari after the rape of a tribal schoolgirl. Since August 2024, at least 152 temples and 157 homes have been attacked, as violence and repression against minorities continue to escalate.

India

Intelligence sources have uncovered that the “I Love Muhammad” campaign is a coordinated mobilisation effort blending religious sentiment with political strategy, timed to coincide with major Hindu festivals. The toolkit reportedly involves political leaders, clerics, and mosque networks, uses social media for amplification, and carries an international dimension aimed at influencing both domestic and global narratives.

The NHRC has taken cognizance of a complaint alleging that 556 Hindu children were enrolled in 27 unauthorised madrasas across several Madhya Pradesh districts for conversion to Islam. The Commission has demanded an inquiry and action report within 15 days, following claims of foreign funding and anti-national links in the alleged racket.

The Srisailam temple has launched the ‘Dharma Prachara Radham’, a chariot designed as a replica of the temple, to tour nearby areas and spread Hindu dharma through bhajans and divine rituals. The temple management also plans to organise ‘Shobha Yatras’ and Dharma pracharam in tribal hamlets, especially among the Chenchu community, to strengthen spiritual and cultural outreach.
